PPG Wave 3.V is the reincarnation of the legendary PPG Wave synthesizer, which is undoubtedly considered one of the most respected top-class synthesizers of the 80s. Designed by Wolfgang Palm, this instrument features countless recordings and has inspired a generation of producers, composers and listeners. Now you have the opportunity to try all the features of the original instrument in a more convenient format and at a lower price. PPG Wave 3.V uses table-wave synthesis, capable of transmitting up to 256 voices of polyphony. Each voice offers up to two wavetable generators with a choice of sample playback: 8, 12, or 32 bits. Samples can be easily loaded using Drag & Drop. The sound is further shaped by a 12dB and 24dB lowpass filter, an authentic recreation of the classic 2.2 / 2.3 PPG Wave filter with additional Overdrive. In addition, three LFOs are used to modulate sources, either for coarse or smooth modulation. Nave is a hybrid wavetable / analog synthesizer. The result of a collaboration between Rolf Wormann of Tempo Rubato (the developer of the excellent NLog synthesizer), Stefan Stenzel of Waldorf and design luminary Alex Hartmann. Nave generates its harsh, punchy sound with two wavetable oscillators and a virtual analog synthesizer, where up to eight voices are available in unison via the Überwave section. And what are these wave tables! You can choose one for each oscillator from a large list, load any WAV file (the results of which are always unpredictable), or enter text to convert it into a speech wave table, which gives great prospects for working with voices. The 3D display is informative enough, outwardly attractive and allows custom settings, and working in editing mode can captivate you for hours. Convenient controls allow you to comfortably control playback. Circular modulation can be applied between the two wavetable and 1 / W1 oscillator, while the excellent multi-mode 12 / 24dB filter sits next to the host of the rest of the modulators, an excellent 4-track recorder, etc. To appreciate the great potential of the Nave program, you should work with it yourself. If Waldorf created it as a hardware synthesizer, it would be worth thousands of dollars. Largo is the first full-fledged VST synthesizer based on the iron Waldorf algorithms - it fully reflects all the technologies used in Blofeld and Q synthesizers. One of the key features of Largo, like all Waldorf synthesizers, is ergonomics: you will feel comfortable working with structured and an intuitively accessible interface. Largo contains three oscillators (two of them are sub-oscillators), including analog waveform models; two filters with flexible settings and dense sound (they can be considered a key component in the formation of a unique Largo sound); ultra-fast envelopes and flexible LFOs; and a modulation matrix that we can safely consider the dream of any sound designer. And like any decent synthesizer, Largo includes a 16-step arpeggiator and several effects.
