The rhythms and music contained in this library are a living tradition that has its roots in the ancient civilizations of the Middle East and North Africa. This echoes the folk music of ancient Egypt, Arabia, the Ottoman Empire and Persia. The resulting musical traditions are deep and varied, but always evolving as each generation adds its own innovations. It is complex music that contains ornamentation and intersecting rhythms as it is woven into a single tapestry of sound.

The library is arranged by individual country with percussion loops and musical themes for each one as well as a contemporary selection.
Additionally, loops of melodic instruments include Accordion, Kanoun, Oud, Ney Flute and Eastern Violin, whilst individual percussion loops of Darbuka, Doholla, Frame Drum, Riqq and Sagat are also included.
